Frozen Disneybound

Long time no blog!

I went to Disneyland last weekend with my younger sister, Alison, and we decided to Disneybound our favorite Disney Sisters, Anna and Elsa!

For Anna, I am wearing a black lace crop top from Target, a blue skater skirt from Forever 21, and an oversized pink cardigan I thrifted in San Francisco. Since I was cold, I am wearing grey tights from Targets and Roxy brand combat boots.

Alison is embracing her inner Elsa with her black dress from Target, her teal bandeau from a local boutique and her gold belt from Forever 21. She paired it off with some snowflake tights from Forever 21 and her black oxfords. Being queen, she couldn't forget the crown, which was from a party supply store.

Hope you all enjoyed!

Finals/Holiday treats

It's finals season, and what better way to take off the stress than with themed cupcakes?

These are sure to take some of the edge off and satisfy your study induced sweet tooth.

The cake toppers I used are from Target, but you can easily create your own depending on the theme you would like.

As for the fun phrase, pick anything you find fitting, then print it out and stick it on the cake toppers.

Make your favorite kind of cupcakes, then add your toppers and you are sure to have the cutest study treat around!

Hope you enjoyed and happy studying!

Cute DIY gift

Last week was my Little in my sorority's birthday, and I really liked the gift I made her, so I decided to share it with you!

This canvas is super easy to make and turned out really cute, so it would be a perfect gift for anyone you know!

I started out with a blank canvas, which I purchased at Michael's. Then, I printed out an image, in this case a dreamcatcher, and Mod-Podged it on. I let the Mod-Podge dry for about 3 hours, then decided where I wanted to place the stickers. Depending on who this is for, you can change the name or title, but in my example I used "little".  I used hot glue to make sure the stickers were extra secure, then cleaned up the canvas to make sure it was perfect!

One tip if you decide to do this is to let the image you print dry overnight or spray it with sealer, because the ink will start to bleed onto the canvas if it is still wet.

Hope you enjoyed!

Disney Bound Outfits

Hi guys!

This weekend my younger sister and I went to Disneyland and decided it would be fun to try and put together some Disney Bound outfits. If you aren't familiar with Disney bound it is basically outfits inspired by certain characters. Here are the outfits we came up with!

Jenny: Ariel

I unfortunately didn't bring stuff ahead of time but was able to throw this look together with things from my sister's closet. The top is just a basic racerback tee from forever 21, the green high-low is from old navy and the purple scarf was hand knitted by my aunt. I did not bring my starfish clip, so I used my sister's earring as a barrette by adding a bobby pin.

Alison: Indiana Jones

Alison decided to base her outfit off of our favorite ride In Disneyland. She is wearing a top from a boutique in Chico, leather printed jeggings from target, Roxy brand combat boots, and a Hat from forever 21.

If you are interested in doing Disney bound outfits we like to look on Pinterest!

Hope you enjoyed!

Until next time,

Bedazzle Nails

Yesterday was a lazy Sunday; this means Netflix, pigging out and doing my nails! I had found this box of jewels the other day when cleaning my room and naturally the bedazzling psycho inside of me felt the need to make everything around me sparkle, including my nails. I chose a dark gray color (Sally Hansen's "Grey Area") and painted all my nails with two layers and let them dry. Next I used a clear polish and dabbed a little glob of it on each nail where I wanted the jewel to go on my nail. I then used a pair of tweezers to place the jewel on the little glob of clear polish and pressed it into place and let it dry. After adding jewels to all my nails I let them dry while watching Freaks and Geeks on Netflix.

Theres so many other things you could do with all these jewels on your nails! Switch up the placement of the jewels, jewel size and colors or nail polish colors and you've got a whole new look! Get creative and have fun!

Flower Hair Tie

Flower headbands were super popular this summer, but now that it is fall, it seems less appropriate to wear big huge flowers on your head. I personally love flowers, but I also wanted a more fall like way to wear them so I decided to make this Flower hair tie to give the same feeling as the flower crown but in a more fall like way.

Heres how to make your own!

What you will need:

  1. hair tie- I suggest the basic elastic ones and it can be any color
  2. flowers- I got mine from Michaels and just plucked them off the wire stems
  3. Hot Glue gun- To secure the flowers to the hair tie
What you need to do:
  1. Start by warming up your hot glue gun so its ready to use when you want to glue your flowers
  2. Decide where you want each flower to go then glue some hot glue to the back of it and place it on your hair tie, hold the flower there for about a minute or until the glue starts to solidify
  3. Continue this process all the way around until the hair tie is covered in flowers

I love the way this turned out and how easy it was to do! This is a great way to add a little something to an outfit or make a bad hair day look absolutely adorable!

Hope you enjoyed!
